Q: How do I use extended search?
A: To use extended search you need to have an input to get search results and you need to have an output to show the search results. We use extended search because it makes it easy to find specific batches of information and makes it possible to directly use, export or save the information you found.
Before you start with extended search it is important to have a main target in using extended search, this way it's way easier to determine the in- or output. If you don't know what you want to get out of it, why use it?
You start the extended search by either the input or the output, whichever way is easiest for you.
First you need to give input in what exactly you want to look for. You can search based upon several filters such as:
- Appointments of Account Managers
The filters can be used separately or interdependent, whatever you prefer. The input will give you a certain number of results based upon the filters you use. It's always possible to see the amount of results before checking them out.
Here you can see we did a search for all the companies with the status A till E. In the bottom you can see this will give us 108 results. This way you can see if your inputs gives you any result, without showing the results every time.
With the output you determine what exactly what kind of output you want to see connected with the search results. As with the input: you can choose the output based upon several components such as:
- Customer number
- Company name
- Account Manager
- Appointment type
To give you a small example what you can do with extended search: you want to see all the outlets who serve Dutch food that AM Wouter Francken is responsible for within the postal code between 1000 and 1100:
In the output we want to see the info from the outlets like name, address and Main Activity. Additionally you want to see what status and the no. of seats inside:
If then you go the show results, you have all the outlets you looked for combined with the output you wished for:
Additionally it is possible to export this file to excel or make it into a company list (or one of the other useful options):
Choose the option that's right for you.
